Dear Students, Families, and Friends,
At Capital High, we provide personalized learning in a smaller learning community to support our students’ success on their chosen college and career pathway. Being part of a team that supports academic and social/emotional growth is a hallmark of the Capital High Way.
Our students, many of whom have been disengaged in school, are vibrant young men and women who are eager to re-engage in learning that supports their interests and goals. Challenging all students to apply a growth mindset to their present and future goals is a hallmark of the Capital High Way.
Our students and staff commit to participating in a community of learners that values respect for self and others. We are a safe, inclusive, and supportive community for all our members. Working with others to solve problems and repair harm is a hallmark of the Capital High Way.
Our teachers design and deliver lessons that support deeper learning. Recognizing that students need more than content knowledge to be successful, our teachers ask students to work collaboratively with classmates, to explore problems that do not have a single solution, and to share their ideas through oral and written communication. Collaborative learning and effective communication are hallmarks of the Capital High Way.
Our school community is dedicated to collaborating with parents, families, and community organizations. Each of us fulfills a vital and pivotal role in supporting our students on their chosen pathway to college and career success. Working in partnership to support our students with their current and future goals is a hallmark of the Capital High Way.
We invite students and families to explore how Capital High can support your student on their chosen college and career pathway.
