We need your help madison to keep kids in the classroom

If you (or someone you know) are interested in helping keep Madison schools open by serving in one of these important roles, we encourage you to visit the MMSD Community Strong website. There, you will be able to submit required information in a streamlined process, and learn additional details. It is important to note, volunteers and applicants must provide evidence of COVID vaccination and, depending on position, may be subject to a background check.

2021-22 Calendar

“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there "is" such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.”

–Martin Luther King Jr.

Health and Safety Information

As we renew our focus on safety protocols, we want to inform you of two important updates to our layered risk mitigation strategy. These updates come after close consultation with our medical advisory team, and after consideration of revised guidelines for schools from PHMDC, DHS, and the CDC.

Yesterday (Jan. 6), we communicated our decision to return to in-person learning, after taking a necessary pause. This communication referenced the tireless work our teachers, principals, administrators, and other staff have been doing during this time to ensure our return is safe and sustainable. The following is additional information for you to consider in preparation for your student’s return.
